Tisa and Alec’s Sacramento engagement photos were all the things I love—lighthearted, full of laughter, and totally true to who they are as a couple. I photographed their engagement session in Historic Folsom. This little town has amazing old town vibes with textures on every corner!
I met Tisa and Alec for their session and From the second we started shooting, these two got into it!! They were cracking each other up, holding hands, dancing around, and just leaning into the moment together.

We explored a few different spots that gave us space to move, play, and chase the golden light (my fave). One second they were twirling, the next they were wrapped up in a quiet moment. That’s the kind of energy I’m all about—fun, connected, and just a little spontaneous.

Engagement sessions like this are such a good reminder that your photos don’t need to feel stiff or overly posed. They should feel like you. Whether that means running barefoot down a trail, cozying up on a blanket, or grabbing a drink together at your favorite spot—there’s no one-size-fits-all. And Tisa and Alec totally embraced that.

They made the session their own, I was just there capturing it, and you can feel that in every image. That’s always the goal—to create space for you to relax, be yourselves, and walk away with photos that actually feel like your relationship.

If you’re dreaming up your own Sacramento engagement photos and want something that’s laid-back, fun, and genuinely reflects your connection, let’s talk! I’m all about helping couples feel comfortable and capturing the in-between moments that matter most.
