Richard and Ashley’s Yosemite Elopement

Richard and Ashley had a intimate, romantic elopement in the fall. These guys actually flew in from New York which is pretty cool! If you are a fall fan like myself, Yosemite offers beautiful colors during the fall months, particularly October before the rain knocks the leaves off the trees. The couple tied the knot in the Yosemite Valley with El Capitan in the background. After the ceremony, we drove around to some popular spots for photos. Richard and Ashley were a lot of fun to photograph and we all had a great time!

Yosemite Wedding Tip

There are so many places to photograph in Yosemite, so it’s important to discuss with your Yosemite Elopement photographer where exactly to have your photos done. Make a list of favorite spots like Yosemite Falls or Glacier Point. I will be honest, cruising around to different spots in the valley is doable in a few hours. If you want to go for it, start with photos in the valley and then head up to Taft Point for sunset, that will take a lot more time, so have a plan! October is less busier than the summer months, so there isn’t a ton of traffic when trying to get around. During the summer months, the crowds are heavier, so be prepared for more traffic.
