Toey and David had the most beautiful South Lake Tahoe wedding at Sierra-at-Tahoe. Years ago, there was a huge fire and as a result, the area burned. Luckily the resort was unharmed, but the trees were wiped out. I know it sucks, but there’s always a positive to every situation, the views are amazing now! I get it, “the poor trees” and don’t get me wrong, I love trees, but the trees will grow again. Let’s enjoy these majestic views right now because it’s temporary. The flowers were blooming so it made their wedding photos extra dreamy!
Sierra at Tahoe is about 30 minutes from South Lake Tahoe which isn’t bad!
Toey & David’s Lake Tahoe Wedding
Their Sierra at Tahoe wedding day began with hair and make for Toey. The couple got ready in separate locations at the venue. I snapped shots of the bride getting her final touches, then proceeded with flat-lay and detail shots. Once Toey got into her dress, I hustled over to David where we did his staged getting ready photos. There was no wedding party, so there was a lot less going on and a lot less people to navigate. After getting ready, we proceeded with first look, the ceremony and then their reception. Toey walked down the aisle and David met her halfway, it was the sweetest moment to photographer. Since there are no trees, it was a little windy during the ceremony and Toey’s veil was flying all over the place. Veils flying in the wind make great photos. The couple had their first dance, cake cutting, and then we played in the golden light. Scroll through their wedding photos and witness the cutest squirrel ever.

It’s always a good idea to plan your color palette. The different shades of blues for this summer wedding set a calming mood, it was perfect! The flowers were absolutely gorgeous and the cake was just stunning. The cake had blue shades with a touch of gold.. classy!
